Agave Cocina & Tequilas opens late spring in Uptown
Federico Ramos is bringing his fresh contemporary Mexican food and vast tequila menu to Expo in time for Cinco de Mayo
For Immediate Release: SEATTLE, March 28 Agave Cocina and Tequila is bringing modern Mexican dishes to the Expo Building in Uptown, at First and Republican. After his success in Issaquah and Redmond, Federico Ramos is expanding, and opening his first Agave in Seattle with their trademark fresh ingredients, and authentic Mexican dishes with a modern flair.
A family owned business, the opening of Agave in Seattle is proof that the Ramos family possesses the right components for a successful restaurant. Starting at the original location in Issaquah, Ramos began by working in the kitchen, and with hard work and dedication, he quickly moved up the ranks. After acquiring the Mexican restaurant, Ramos has ensured that their dishes continue to reflect the authentic, and contemporary Mexican cuisine his guests have come to love.
With its roots in traditional Mexican food, Agave’s menu features fresh, natural ingredients, and a wide variety of small plates and traditional dishes. From Sopas and Grilled Jalapenos to Carnitas de Cerdo and Grilled Fish Tacos, all their dishes are made from scratch, and cooked to order, ensuring their guests experience optimum flavors and textures. Always happy to recommend a special tequila or tasting flight, their menu features over 150 tequilas, many imported directly by Ramos. Guests can try a new tequila on its own, or in one of their signature hand-shaken 100% Agave Tequila Margaritas with fresh lime.
Ramos is overseeing custom ironwork and furnishings that he has designed and built near his hometown of Guadalajara. His restaurant will showcase an indoor fireplace, a water feature and a private dining area. Situated on the corner of 1st and Republican, guests of Agave can enjoy outdoor seating.
Agave Cocina and Tequilas: Located at First and W Republican St. in Uptown, and featuring a modern take on traditional Mexican dishes, Agave uses only the freshest ingredients in their food and cocktails and boasts over 150 varieties of tequilas. Open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends. Their Happy Hours are 3:30 -6:30 and 10:00 to close.
